The fall season of TV has barely begun and already shows are getting the ax. CBS has decided to cancel We Are Men and bring back Mike & Molly earlier than planned.
Men struggled out of the gate in its 8:30 p.m. Monday slot, averaging only 6 million viewers for two weeks, Los Angeles Times reports.
Two Broke Girls, which has also struggled, is being moved half an hour earlier to the 8:30 spot. In November, Mike & Molly will return to take the 9:00 p.m. slot, but until then reruns of The Big Bang Theory will be in its place.
The 10:00 p.m. show, Hostages, hasn't been doing much better, but will stay where it is unless ratings continue to drop. If ratings do drop, expect that show to either move or be canceled as well.
According to USA Today, Men dropped from its premiere of 6.6 million viewers to 5.4 million in just a week. The show lasted all of two episodes. The show was about a group of divorced men living in an apartment complex as they tried to get back into the dating scene.
