Chris Brown is living up to his bad boy reputation. The 24-year-old was arrested on Sunday morning and charged with felony assault.

According to CNN, Brown was arrested along with his bodyguard. The “Forever” singer and his bodyguard allegedly attacked a man outside of the W. hotel. Brown reportedly began punching the man during the altercation Sunday morning.

The New York Daily News reports that the “Run It” singer’s alleged brawl occurred around 4:30 in the morning. Authorities say that Brown did not appear to be under the influence of any substances during the incident.

Brown was taken into police custody after the incident, while the man who he reportedly attacked was transported to a nearby hospital to seek medical attention. The extent of the man’s injuries are unknown at this time.

Brown has earned a reputation as a trouble maker ever since his famed altercation with his girlfriend at the time, Rihanna, in 2009. He is still on probation in California for a felony domestic violence conviction from that event. His arrest could be considered a violation of that probation, and possibly result in jail time if he is convicted.

Brown has also been involved in altercations with Drake and Frank Ocean, but neither of those incidents resulted in criminal charges.

In the past year, prosecutors have filed probation violation charges against Brown twice. He has been ordered to complete an additional 1,000 hours of community service.
