Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber give fans a look inside their Mexican villa, which they built side-by-side with neighbor and good friend George Clooney in Architectural Digest.

They call it their “Casamigos,” or house of friends, and they’re designed by architecture firm Legorreta + Legorreta. Although they’re two separate units, Crawford said when they’re all in Mexico, they treat it as if it were one.

"Our lives go back and forth. We’ll have cocktails at our place and dinner at George’s, and vice versa,” said Crawford.

They talked about eyeing the lot several years ago and making their dream reality in Los Cabos, Mexico.

“We saw this oceanfront lot and thought maybe it made sense to building something,” Gerber explained.

The single Gravity star also explained the design differences, saying “They're not twins, but more like sisters or cousins. If my house were truly open it would present too many opportunities for people to take pictures."

Clooney and Geber have a tequila company of the same “Casamigos” name.
