The preview for the tribute episode Glee filmed to honor the late Cory Monteith aired after the newest episode on Thursday night.
The 30-second clip shows the cast mourning the loss of his character Finn Hudson – with so much emotion that it’s hard not to recognize they’re really mourning Monteith.
The promo shows the cast, including Monteith’s on and off-screen girlfriend Lea Michele as Rachel Berry, mourning his loss in the hallway at William McKinley High School, USA Today reports.
Back in August, Jane Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester on the show tweeted, “Just read Cory Monteith memorial episode. Most beautiful thing.”
Before the promo aired, a list of songs that will be played during the episode leaked, including “Seasons of Love,” from the musical Rent, James Taylor’s “Fire and Rain,” The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young,” Bruce Springsteen’s “No Surrender” and Bob Dylan’s “To Make You Feel My Love.”
Monteith died in July due to an overdose of heroin and alcohol.
