Here’s our daily wrap for Wednesday, October 9th:
Disney’s Pixar Canada studio shut its doors this week leaving 100 people without jobs. The studio only opened three years ago but has been shut down so more focus can be placed on the studio in California. It is also speculated that the reason for the shutdown is the British Columbia’s pull back on tax incentives, a main reason many animation studios place a foothold in Canada. Pixar Canada is responsible for producing shorts such as Air Mater, Small Fry and Partysaurus Rex.
19 Kids and Counting stars Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar are trying for their 20th child. The Duggars are currently parents to 19 children, 10 sons and 9 daughters. They are also grandparents to 3 grandchildren, Mackynzie Renee, Michael James and Marcus Anthony, who are the offspring of their eldest child.
Hayden Panettiere has confirmed engagement Wladimir Klitschko. The 24-year-old actress announced the engagement on LIVE! with Michael and Kelly Wednesday morning. Panettiere and 37-year-old Klitschko met in 2009 and have been rumored to be engaged since March.
Katie Couric’s talk show may be getting cancelled soon as the production is too expensive. When the show began the ratings were expected to be a 2.5 but were an incredibly low 1.7. The show has also had trouble holding on to executive producers leading to a very likely cancellation of the show after her contract with ABC ends next summer.
