DJ Pauly D of MTV’s Jersey Shore fame has announced that he’s fathered a love child. The baby is already a few months old and the reality star turned DJ is excited to embark upon the journey of fatherhood.

Pauly D, real name Paul DelVecchio, first met his daughter’s mother in Las Vegas while he was DJing but she is a New Jersey native.

"I'm proud I'm a father,” he told TMZ. “I am excited to embark on this new part of my life."

DelVecchio was sure to take a paternity test to make sure he was the father, and it turns out that he definitely is.

A source told E! News that DelVecchio “always wanted kids” and although "[He] wasn't exactly planning for it to happen this way, God works in mysterious ways."

He will also be sure to be involved in the baby’s life, with the source saying he’s "ready to jump in and take responsibility as a father.”

The famous DJ hasn’t had a “previous relationship” with the mother but "is hoping to develop” one with her.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who is a mother herself, told E! "I'm so happy for Pauly. Definitely a shock to all of us, but we know Pauly the best and he's going to be an amazing father. He's so loving and caring. I can't wait for Lorenzo and her to play!"

JWoww also commented, saying "Holy s--t I just heard! I'm so f--king happy for him I just texted him. Crying! He's going to be the best dad ever!"
