Eminem's 17-year-old daughter, Hailie Scott, was crowned homecoming queen at Chippewa Valley High School last Friday.
According to E! News, her proud father watched the ceremony from inside the school in order to give his daughter the full spotlight.
“Hailie came out with her mother Kim [Scott] when she was introduced with all the other kids but her father watched from inside the school because he didn't want to cause a scene—he wanted Hailie to have her own moment," one parent told Macomb Daily News.
The 17-year-old reportedly did not win just because she has a famous dad – the students are usually able to overlook that fact. "I think all of the kids in the district have shown respect to their family and just let her live a normal life here out of the spotlight," a parent said. "I think that speaks very highly of the Chippewa Valley community to not try to take advantage of their fame."
A screen shot of the momentous occasion was posted to Twitter showing that Hailie was featured on the news.
