Twentieth Century Fox announced on Thursday that it would be filming Jack Bauer's newest adventure Live Another Day in London.
The continuation of the 24 show is set to be a 12-episode event series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Kiefer Sutherland's Bauer was last seen on TV in 2010. He also went overseas for 2008's 24: Redemption.
It's still early days yet for the production and little of the cast has been put together so far. Mary Lynn Rajskub will be reprising her role from the show along with Sutherland.
The new series will begin four years later, USA Today notes, and Evan Katz and Manny Coto say, "Jack is soon back on the run and it takes us into the streets of London and in places that break new ground for the show. We've shot in New York, Washington, Los Angeles and Cape Town - but now we're in London and Jack's loose on the streets of Europe, hunted by and hunting bad guys."
The Dark City actor noted that, "24 has always had such a global sensibility."
"But to be able to tell this intense 24-esque story with the beauty of Europe's history and architecture as the backdrop is going to be fanscinating."
Live Another Day is shooting to premiere in summer 2014.
