Glee creator Ryan Murphy confirmed that the series will end after next season.

According to Inquisitr, Murphy was at the Paley Center event where he told reporters, "“The final year of the show, which will be next year, was designed around Rachel and Cory/Finn’s story,I always knew that, I always knew how it would end. I knew what the last shot was – he was in it. I knew what the last line was – she said it to him. So when a tragedy like that happens you sort of have to pause and figure out what you want to do, so we’re figuring that out now.”
He also says that he will continue to honor Corey Monteith, who passed away at age 30 in July due to a drug overdose.Last week's episode named, "The Quarterback," honored Monteith. 7.4 million viewers tuned in to watch the memorial episode which was very emotional for fans of the popular show.

Murphy also says that he had to adjust the seasons due to Monteith's death and he also said that his passing has been very difficult for the cast.

Before Murphy confirmed the rumor of the show's ending, Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly, told reporters that "I would not anticipate it goes beyond two more seasons."

Murphy is still currently working on, American Horror Story:Coven.
