Celebrity chef Guy Fieri was caught on tape getting into a fight with his hairdresser in his SUV on Saturday. His rep shrugged the incident off, saying that it was just guys “messing around.”
TMZ obtained the video, which shows Fieri sitting in the passenger seat of his SUV, while hairdresser Ariel Ramirez is punching him. Ramirez is heard yelling expletives and crying as Fieri kicks him away.
Sources for TMZ said that the two had just landed at San Francisco International Airport and were drinking on the flight. Fieri kicked Ramirez out of the car and Fieri’s manager then took Ramirez home in a cab.
The end of the argument isn’t on tape, but a source said, “It was just dudes being dudes.” A rep for the television chef said, “A bunch of guys were messing around. Things got a little out of hand, but they're all good now.”
At least Fieri’s fight with a New York Times critic never got physical.
The reason why Fieri was in San Francisco was to testify against a man who stole his Lamborghini in 2011. According to E! News, he took the stand for just five minutes Monday to confirm that the car was stolen. Max Wade has been charged with theft and attempted murder, since he had tried to kill a girl he was trying to impress.
