The name of Halle Berry and husband Olivier Martinez’s baby has been revealed just a few days after his birth. The famous couple haven’t confirmed the name but a friend of Martinez’s wrote it on her blog.

Berry and Martinez chose Maceo-Robert, and it does hold some significance. The Maceo honors Martinez’s father’s Spanish roots and Robert was his father’s name, who was a boxer. The name Maceo also means "gift of God."

According to TMZ, who first reported the name, the name Maceo was popular in the 9th-14th century. The more modernized version of the name would be Matteo or Matthew.

Recently, a source close to the couple told People they “decided on a name that's great in both the U.S. and France.”
Berry gave birth to baby Maceo on Saturday, Oct. 5 in Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.

Martinez said in June, “I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture. I feel good there, but I’m still a foreigner. My son will be an American.”

Berry has a 5-year-old daughter, Nahla, with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
