Halle Berry and husband Olivier Martinez welcomed a baby boy into the world on Saturday, October 5th.
According to Perez Hilton, the happy couple have chosen the name Maceo Robert Martinez.
E! Online reports that a source close to the pair revealed, “They chose it because it means gift from God. Olivier wanted to give a nod to his Spanish roots. They picked the name a while ago, they love it.”
Berry gave birth in Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles on Saturday. The Oscar-winning actress is also mother to five-year-old daughter Nahla along with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
Martinez announced that himself and Berry were expecting a child together back in June. He told People, “My son will remain an American, but I will remain French.”
“I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture,” he said. “I feel good there, but I’m still a foreigner. My son will be an American.”
