It’s a boy! Halle Berry gave birth to a baby boy on Saturday, October 5th.
According to the Daily Mail the Oscar-winning actress and her husband Olivier Martinez welcomed their first child together.
Berry is also mother to five-year-old daughter Nahla along with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
E! Online reports that Berry gave birth in Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.
Martinez announced that himself and Berry were expecting a child together back in June. He told People, “My son will remain an American, but I will remain French.”
“I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture,” he said. “I feel good there, but I’m still a foreigner. My son will be an American.”
The 47-year-old actress also gushed about her baby news on the Wendy Williams Show in November. She told Williams about daughter Nahla’s wish to have a sibling.
“Every night, we do our prayers,” The Call actress said. “We pray to god, so sweet. She says, ‘God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister.’ And I say, ‘I can do one of those things, I know for sure. The other one, we’ve got to keep praying on.”
The Die Another Day starlet is keeping busy with her growing family and work schedule. She’s signed on to Steven Spielberg’s serialized drama Extant. Berry will play the role of an astronaut on the show, which is set to debut in summer 2014.
