47-year-old actress Halle Berry and husband Olivier Martinez welcomed a baby boy into the world on Saturday.
The Oscar winner delivered her son at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, according to E! News. This is the first child for the couple, who married this past July, just a month after Martinez revealed that they were expecting a boy.
"Olivier hasn't left Halle's side. Nahla visited her baby brother earlier today," a source at the hospital told People earlier today.
Berry’s new baby boy joins her first child, 5-year-old Nahla, who Berry had with former boyfriend, French Canadian model Gabriel Aubry back in 2008.
Berry announced her pregnancy back in April and said that the news that she was expecting was not something that she was anticipating.
"This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth,” Berry told CNN. “I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it's been a big surprise and the most wonderful."
Berry’s publicist Meredith O’Sullivan Wasson reportedly gave no other details about the new baby boy aside from the fact that Berry had, in fact, given birth on Saturday.
