Spending a summer away in New York has made Zoe Hart realized that Bluebell is not for her, especially when her life is going so well. She has a job that keeps her busy and not to mention a new boyfriend, Joel, who she believes is the “one”. It’s not until she slowly starts to hallucinate random citizens from Bluebell while at work and a visit from Rose does Zoe realize that she has to return to Bluebell and tie up loose ends to truly move on; especially if she wants to get her reference letter from Dr. Breeland and work as a doctor in New York.

Letting her boyfriend know that she’ll be in Bluebell for a quick visit, Zoe hops on a plane and returns to the small town she called home for the past two years. As she walks into town, not a soul can be found, except of course the last person she wanted to see – Wade Kinsella. Leaving on the most awkward of terms, Zoe is surprised to see Wade, but being Wade; he kindly welcomes the good doctor back to Bluebell, as well as explains to her where everyone has run off to – a town meeting. Apparently, the people of Fillmore are trying to sue Bluebell from having a Founder’s Day parade, and if anyone knows better, the residents of Bluebell do not like to be threatened. As Lavon leads the discussion at the church, Zoe makes a grand entrance, hoping to be showered with a welcome back, but little does Dr. Hart know that many individuals felt betrayed at her disappearing act over the past few months. And not only has Zoe been missing, George Tucker has also disappeared off the Bluebell radar after his harsh breakup with Tansy. Everyone is frantically searching for George because he is the only one that can help do away with the law suit the people of Fillmore has on them. By coincidence, Zoe chances upon George and it’s actually Lemon that gets George cleaned up and at court on time the next day.

Everything seems to be running smoothly, but of course if it truly was; it wouldn’t be the Bluebell that we all know. So is Bluebell only like a rest stop, before reality like Zoe believes or is it actually the other way around, where Bluebell is the reality like Lavon believes? Zoe seems to believe the latter by the end of tonight’s episode as she decides to move back to Bluebell with her new boyfriend, but things definitely will not be easy. The complication of relationships, real and false are bound to come around full circle in our charming town. Welcome back Hart of Dixie, cheers to a lovely Season 3!
