Actor Hugh Jackman threw a fundraising benefit that raised over $1.8 million.

The Associated Press reports that Jackman, 45, hosted a fundraising event at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre as part of Twentieth Century Fox. There, he sang, danced, and told stories to an audience of 4,500. That same day also happened to be his birthday.

"This is probably the most narcissistic way to spend your birthday," Jackman said. "I chose my favorite songs and told stories about my life."

The concert raised $1.85 million for the Motion Picture and Television Fund.

Deadline reports that Jackman was asked by Twentieth Century Fox Chairman and CEO, Jim Gianopulos, to host a one-man-show as a benefit.

The show ran for three hours and included a live auction run by Jackman, which contained items such as customized Wolverine claws, tickets to the premier of X-Men: Days of Future Past, a Wolverine signed jacket, a Panerai watch, a Fiat 500e, and an opportunity to screen a Twentieth Century Fox film with 60 friends.

His wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, got the crowd to sing "Happy Birthday" for Jackman.
