Jennifer Garner hit the red carpet in a navy blue dress that cascaded over her curves at the premiere of her latest flick, Dallas Buyers Club. Now, she’s chatting about the film and worrying about the health of her co-stars.

According to Yahoo, Garner confessed that she “hated” the weight loss Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto had to endure for the film.

“I hated seeing Matthew so -- I mean, he looked ill. He looked legitimately really, very ill. It was all I could do to not cry... because he really looked that sick.”

The 13 Going on 30 starlet also commented on Leto’s dramatic weight loss. “It was awful to watch,” she said. “He would look totally out of it, like he could fall over, until they said action and then he would snap to and focus and be able to do anything. But he was scary.”

Dallas Buyers Club follows the true story of Ron Woodruff, a man dying of aids who starts smuggling anti-viral medicines. Garner plays the role of a doctor in the movie.

McConaughey, who dropped a staggering 50 pounds for the film spoke about his transformation saying, “I was going around and people were going, ‘Hey, are you feeling alright?’ But then I hit 135 pounds. I ran into somebody and they didn’t just ask if I was all right, they said, ‘My God, we need to get you some help.’ And I thought, ‘There we go. That’s the perfect spot.’”

E! Online reports that the 43-year-old actor asked Tom Hanks, who shed pounds for Philadelphia and Castaway, for advice on how to lose the weight.

Garner’s next film, Gone Girl, is a movie based on the bestselling novel by Gillian Flynn. Gone Girl opens in theaters October 3, 2014.
