Kanye West made his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, attempting to put an end to their feud that was caused by a segment Jimmy Kimmel created to spoof West’s BBC 1 interview.
While there, West covered many topics and really laid it all out on the table. He explained his Twitter rant was a result of years of frustration of being mocked in the media, and this one was particularly worse because he knew Kimmel.
“This is the one person I know, so I can go and let out everything that I feel about every single bogus Weekly cover. Every single bogus skit ... Every person who feels it's OK to treat celebrities like zoo animals," said West, The Hollywood Reporter notes.
Kimmel even vouched for West that he is not a jerk, although many people think so. "A lot of people think you are a jerk. I often in my own personal conversations say, 'No. I know this guy. He is not a jerk,'" he explained, showing a picture of West smiling at his father’s wedding and recalling how friendly he was.
To applause from the audience, West admitted, “I’'m totally weird. I'm totally honest and I'm totally inappropriate sometimes. For me to say I wasn't a genius -- I would just be lying to you and to myself.”
