Ever since Kate Middleton married Prince George to become the Duchess of Cambridge, she has shown us that she is still just an ordinary, everyday woman.

According to Examiner, Middleton went antique shopping and asked for a discount when she checked out. Although the 31-year-old duchess can afford anything and everything she wants, she still loves sales and participates in bargain shopping.

Mirror News reports that Caroline Combe, the owner of the Old Stables shop in Norfolk, where Middleton requested a discount, said of the incident, "Kate came in when quite pregnant. Such thin legs in her wellies. She was looking at various things and asked for a discount.”

When asked if she granted the duchess' request, Combe said, “Of course, she’s got a big house to do up. But I love her for asking.”

As for Middleton's husband, he stayed in the car while his wife shopped for bargains. Combe's husband Roger reported, “If I may say so, William looked like every man who’s forced to go shopping with his wife, which is bored bloody stiff and didn’t get out of the car.”

Middleton was probably shopping for decorations to make her Georgian country home, Anmer Hall on the Queen's Sandringham estate, more homey.

Last month, Kate showed us again that she is just a normal person like us, stopping at McDonald's with little Prince George and his nanny.
