Katy Perry is speaking out about her friendship with Robert Pattinson and commenting on their viral karaoke video.

According to the Hollywood Reporter a video of the pair singing “I’ll Make Love To You” by Boyz II Men after enjoying a few beverages hit the web earlier this week.

E! Online reports that the Prism singer addressed the now infamous video and opened up about her friendship with the Twilight actor on Australia’s Kyle O and Jackie Show on Tuesday, October 29th.

"Well, there's the media for you, nothing is sacred, not even karaoke," Perry quipped. "Yeah, no I mean, we were just hanging out and we have a lot of friends that we hang out, one of my best friends is a mutual friend of ours and we got wasted and did karaoke like people do."

The 29-year-old pop star did find a positive side to the video being leaked. She was happy that it “at least shows you that we’re like actually just friends.”

Perry did admit that she feels band for the heart throb, mentioning that it’s hard to be friends when rumors are constantly swirling that you’re romantically linked to them.

The video, circa 2008, shows Perry and Pattinson celebrating a friend’s birthday at Dimples, a karaoke club in Burbank, California. At one point, Perry even shouts, “This chair is too high to make love!” and takes a seat on Pattinson’s lap.
