Kelly Clarkson finally tied the knot with Brandon Blackstock over the weekend. The couple eloped at Blackberry Farm in Tennessee, and the guest list was extremely small – the only people in attendance were Blackstock's two children. Now, Clarkson's mom Jeanne Taylor speaks out about how she felt when she wasn't invited to her daughter's wedding.
According to Celebuzz, Taylor wasn't upset at all – the only thing that mattered to the first American Idol winner's mom was that she's happy. “She said they were just so overwhelmed with the tour and they just decided to elope. But she didn’t want to hurt our feelings,” said Taylor. “She has had a lot on her plate and I’ve seen her schedule for the next month and Christmas. But we’re happy for her and she’s so happy.”
Clarkson's mom continued, saying that even though she missed her daughter's wedding, she'll get to see the whole thing in the wedding video. “She made a [wedding] video and we’ll get to see all of it. She said she cried through the whole thing anyway. She’s really emotional like that. She’s now glad she didn’t do it in front of a lot of people because then she’d be embarrassed."
Clarkson took to Twitter Tuesday to share a clip of the video from her wedding.
Here is a little video of our special day! Thanks to everyone for all of your well wishes!!! #cloud9 #tieitup http://t.co/EoBpbQCx9T
