After Kanye West proposed to his girlfriend Kim Kardashian last weekend, and the couple has already agreed to set up a prenup.

According to TMZ, the couple is not at all worried about their marriage breaking apart, even with Kardashian's record, but made the decision to have a prenup because it just makes sense in this day and age.

Although their assets will be kept separate in the prenup, Kimye will also have a hefty joint account to use for living expenses.

It was previously thought that Kanye wouldn't ask for a prenup out of respect for his fiancé. Before he popped the question to Kardashian, he commented on how much he loves her and how he can't wait to spend the rest of his life with her.

"I have never loved any girl, other than my mother, as much as I love my girlfriend," he said in an interview with San Francisco's KMEL radio. "I’m so happy to be with her, to live this life together, and — with our relationship with God — to be able to live forever in heaven together, and also to raise a strong family that communicates truth and beauty."
