The engagement ring Kris Humphries gave to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian has sold for $749,000 at auction. Christie's confirmed the ring sold on Tuesday.
"It bounced between two phone bidders and two bidders in the back of the room," a spokesperson for Christie’s told E! News. "Good participation all around. It was the last item in the morning session."
The NBA star’s rep even confirmed he’s “very pleased with the final result,” and it’s a “top priority” for him to donate it to charity.
Kardashian has since moved on with Kanye West and welcomed a daughter with him over the summer, but the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star married Humphries on Aug. 29, 2011 and famously announced they would be divorcing just 72 days later. With some push-back from the basketball player, their divorce wasn’t finalized until June 2013.
When his rep confirmed he would be selling the ring at auction, they stated he “has long-since moved on” from Kardashian.
USA Today reports the pre-sale estimates of the ring were that it would go for anywhere between $300-$500,000.The Lorraine Schwartz ring is 16.21-carats.
