Kristen Bell and longtime boyfriend Dax Shepard finally got married in a quiet clerk courthouse ceremony Thursday.

According to TMZ, the 33-year-old actress and the 38-year-old actor made a trip to the Beverly Hills County Clerk office to get their marriage license Thursday. After a court employee suggested they get married right then, they agreed. The couple, who spent the last six years together, was quickly married in a no-hassle ordeal in a nearby courtroom.

Bell hadn't been planning on a big wedding with all the bells and whistles anyway. Her and Shepard always thought they'd do something quick and easy, as she said, "I feel like we get enough attention in our daily lives and we just want something sort of private that involves pen and paper."

Bell and Shepard first got engaged in 2009, and Shepard re-proposed in June when the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the gay marriage ban, reports Just Jared. The couple's first child, daughter Lincoln Bell Shepard, was born March 28 of this year.
