Lady Gaga has just debuted her latest single “Do What U Want” and it features R. Kelly!
According to E! Online, the “Applause” singer went on a major Twitter rant before releasing the new track. Mother Monster used the social media outlet to comment on some of the negative criticisms people give to her.
The singer addressed some of her comparisons to other pop artists including Madonna and Katy Perry. She wrote, "MADONNA HATES GAGA SHES OVER...i dont need anybodys permission to be remembered. I will be. Whether they like it or not."
She also tweeted out, "APPLAUSE didn't DEBUT AT #1 KATY [PERRY] IS BETTER THAN HER!...I write for the music not the charts."
Other tweets included references to religion and drugs. "GOD HATES LADY GAGA!...ill always fight for equality, got my own relationship with God,” the “Born This Way” singer said. "LADY GAGA IS ON DRUGS! HER CAREER IS OVER! (been an addict for 10 years)...My recovery is a daily battle."
Mother Monster’s Twitter spree did relate to the song “Do What U Want.” Some of the lyrics are, “Write what you want, say what you want about me/If you’re wonderin’ know that I’m not sorry.”
Rolling Stone reports that Gaga first teased fans with “Do What U Want” when a clip was used for a Best Buy TV commercial for Beats by Dre headphones.
Gaga’s album ARTPOP hits stores on November 11th.
