Macaulay Culkin made a rare public appearance, showing up at the New York Comic Con on Friday.

The actor joined the rest of the Robot Chicken cast at NYCC, Us Weekly reports. The Home Alone was all smiles at the event.

The 33-year-old former child star had long hair and a beard and wore an unusual outfit - though maybe not too unusual for NYCC - where he had a bunch of bracelets, rings and wore pink, fuzzy ears on his head, in addition to a tank top and blazer.

Though he hasn't provided his voice on the show for a few years, he joined Seth Green, Mathew Senreich and Breckin Meyer on stage and answered questions.

According to E! News, the actor was asked where had been hiding for so long. He simply quipped, "Hiding under a rock somewhere."

Culkin seemed in good spirits throughout the event, even going so far as to lick Green's face while the audience laughed. Green commented that "The best thing about Mac is that he had a better career by the time he was 14 than most of us have in our whole lives. If he spends four years, six years, not doing anything, he'll still be more relevant than anyone here."

Culkin has rarely been seen in public since rumors rose that he was addicted to drugs after he was photographed looking extremely thin, which his rep has long denied. Culkin rarely appears in movies anymore, instead focusing on painting.
