Mayim Bialik has filed a lawsuit over last year's car accident where she suffered a hand injury.
Last August in Hollywood, Bialik was driving through an intersection when she was hit by rental vehicle with Chilean tourists, TMZ reports. A source at the scene had told the site that the there was a lot of blood, mainly from the Big Bang Theory's actress' hand.
A different source had said, "her find was almost completely severed ... it was just hanging there."
Bialik has now decided to sue both the driver of the car and Hertz Rent-a-Car for hand injuries that damaged her right thumb and caused nerve damage. The site says she is suing for financial damages, including lost wages.
While Bialik did suffer a hand injury, she told E! News, "I did not almost lose my hand," disputing sources at the scene.
However, "I sustained significant injuries for which I am still recovering and will continue to be recovering," she said.
The TV actress says the hand is "alright," but that she is "aware of it every day not being one hundred percent." She added, "At least it wasn't my face torn open."
