Mick Jagger is denying Katy Perry’s claims that he hit on her before she made it big in the music industry. She worked with him as a teenager and even sang back-up vocals on his song “Old Habits Die Hard.”
During an interview with Australian DJs Ash, Kip & Luttsy on Nova FM, Perry, now 29, said the 70-year-old legend hit on her when she was “like 18.”
"I actually went to dinner with [Jagger] one time, and he hit on me when I was like 18!" she said, E! Online reports. When asked how she turned him down, she said, "Well you bring a friend and then they do them.”
However, Jagger’s rep is responding, saying it never happened. "Mick Jagger categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry...Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else,” the rep told E!.
The Prism singer also said in the interview that it was “a long time ago” and “since then he's been very kind and I got to sing 'Beasts of Burden' on their stage with him on their tour on the Rolling Stone tour."
At the time, Perry tweeted she “gyrated” Jagger.
