It’s safe to say Miley Cyrus isn’t happy with Sinead O’Connor publicly reaching out to her to offer up advice. After Cyrus said in an interview that she’s inspired by the veteran singer, O’Connor decided to post a very personal message.

The “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer told Cyrus she was getting “pimped” and “prostituted” by her handlers and that “it is absolutely NOT in ANY way an empowerment of yourself or any other young women, for you to send across the message that you are to be valued (even by you) more for your sexual appeal than your obvious talent.”

O’Connor also wrote she is “extremely concerned for you that those around you have led you to believe, or encouraged you in your own belief, that it is in any way ‘cool’ to be naked and licking sledgehammers in your videos.”

Cyrus, 20, has now responded, comparing the singer to troubled star Amanda Bynes. She posted a screenshot of previous tweets O’Connor has posted:

The tweets mention O’Connor “urgently” needing to see a psychiatrist because she’s “unwell.” Last year O’Connor revealed a suicide attempt on Twitter, telling her followers “I took an overdose. God obviously wants me around — though I can't think why."
