As fall arrives and we move into October, baseball season is coming to a close. For the Milwaukee Brewers, the season has ended, a fact made evident by the field of Miller Park being remodeled.
According to TMJ4, the field in the stadium is being ripped up so that new grass can go in. The last time Miller Park underwent this process was in 2008.
During that time, the Brewers blog reported that they would be replacing the outfield grass since the players were so impressed with the type of grass they put in for the infield. A kind of bluegrass was laid down in both the infield and outfield.
The blog also explained that with the way the stadium is designed, with the roof’s ability to open and close, the light from the sun does not reach every part of the field. This has caused problems with the grass in the outfield since the park’s opening in March 2001.
Journal Sentinel Brewers beat writer and 620WTMJ "Brewers 360" contributor Tom Haudricourt tweeted a photo of the grassless field, saying, “They have torn out entire field at Miller Park and will put in all new sod for 2014 season.”

Another Brewers beat writer for the Journal Sentinel, Todd Rosiak, confirmed the news, saying that new sod will be put down in two weeks.
