Tina Fey has just received the greenlight from NBC. Fey will be producing a straight-to-series 13-episode comedy for NBC. The new comedy will be airing next fall.

According to the LA Times, Fey will be working with Robert Carlock. The untitled comedy is being produced by Little Stranger Inc. and Universal Television

The upcoming Fey comedy will star, Ellie Kemper, who also appeared on The Office, added Entertainment Weekly.

Chairman of NBC Entertainment, Robert Greenblatt, said that the comedy was audacious, emotional and clever. Also adding that NBC was pleased to be working together again with Fey. Both Fey and Carlock had worked on the successful NBC comedy, 30 Rock.

The President of NBC Entertainment, Jennifer Salke, explained that original voices like Fye and Carlock do not come along often and that everyone at NBC wanted to get them back on the air as soon as possible, Entertainment Weekly detailed.

No word on who else will be featured in the upcoming comedy but it seems like the partnership between Fey and NBC is here to stay.
