We open on 11 years ago as Emma was giving birth to Henry. The doctor told her it was a boy and that she could still change her mind but Emma said that she couldn’t be a mother and cried.
Flash to the present. Emma, Mary-Margaret, David, Gold, Regina and Hook are all on Hook’s ship going through a portal to Neverland.
Greg, Tamara and Henry also arrive in Neverland. Henry tries to run away but Greg catches him. Henry then tell that both his mothers’ will find and save him and thinks they are in the Enchanted Forest but Greg tells him that they’re in Neverland. Henry then asks why they want to destroy Neverland, which Tamara calls “the mother lode of magic.” Greg tells Henry not to ask questions and that they are following the “home office’s” orders. Tamara then wants to contact the “home office” to let them know they’ve arrived. Henry then asks Greg how they’ll get home if they destroy Neverland. Greg replies that he doesn’t ask questions but when he tries to use their communicator to contact the “home office” he finds it’s just a toy.
On Hook’s ship, he has a plan to get onto the island and take “him” by surprise. He then tells Regina how he spent so much time trying to leave Neverland to kill Rumplestiltskin only to return with him as his guest. “Not the happy ending I was hoping for,” he says. Then, Regina tells him that Greg told her that she’s a villain and that villains don’t get happy endings. “Then, we’ve wasted our lives,” Hook replies. Meanwhile, Mary-Margaret and David tell Emma that what happened to Neal and Henry wasn’t her fault and that she shouldn’t blame herself. Emma says that she doesn’t…she blames them. She then says that everything that has happened was because she listened to them and that she should have never broken the curse because then she and Henry would be together. Mary-Margaret and David then tell Emma that they don’t want her to miss out on Henry growing up like they did with her but Emma screams asking how they can be so “infuriatingly optimistic?” Mary-Margaret and David say they have to be. Emma then reminds them that since they got their memories back their lives have sucked but David disagrees because they found Emma and insists they’ll find Henry. Then, Gold interrupts to tell them that they won’t because he will. Emma insists that she’ll do whatever it takes but Gold says that still, despite everything she’s been through “you’re still that bail bondsperson, looking for evidence. Have you ever taken a leap of faith, without any proof?” Then, Gold drops his cane and disappears off the boat.
Greg makes a fire to signal the “home office” of their arrival. Then, a bunch of teenage boys appear and introduce themselves as the “home office.” Tamara is mortified that the “home office is a bunch of teenagers” but Henry corrects her that they are the Lost Boys. Henry then asks the head Lost Boy why they’d want to destroy magic. He replies that they don’t but Greg says that was his and Tamara’s mission. The lead Lost Boy then replies that was he was told and orders him to hand over Henry. Tamara says they won’t until they hear the plan for magic and getting back home. The lead Lost Boy then says they won’t be going home. Greg then replies that they aren’t getting Henry. Suddenly, a shadowy figure fires a fire arrow at Greg killing him. Tamara and Henry run but the lead Lost Boy fires an arrow at Tamara, which hits her in the back, bringing her down as Henry continues to run. As Henry runs he finds another Lost Boy, who says he left the group and is also on the run. He agrees to help Henry hide.
Emma starts prepping for a fight while on Hook’s ship. Hook tells her that he spent a lot of time with Baelfire but Emma says she only knew him as Neal. Hook then gives her something of Neal’s and they toast to him.
Neal wakes up with Mulan, Aurora and Phillip and asks where he is. He’s told he’s in the Enchanted Forest. Neal can’t believe he’s back but Mulan doesn’t believe he’s been there before because of his clothes. Then, he mentions Emma and Mulan asks him how he knows her. He just says that she’s in danger and that he needs to get to her but Phillip insists that he must rest from his injuries. Then, Aurora realizes that Neal is Henry’s father and tells him how since she was once under a sleeping spell, she might be able to contact Henry. Neal says that if she can to tell him that he’s alive and that he loves Emma.
Emma asks Hook how long he was with Balefire/Neal. “Long enough to miss him,” he replies. Then, the ship starts to creak and Hook announces that they are being attacked by mermaids. He tried to outrun them. Regina sets out fireballs and they catch a mermaid in a net. After a fee of Regina’s fireballs, the mermaids disperse.
Henry and the runaway Lost Boy are still running away from the other Lost Boys but stop when they think they lost them. The runaway Lost Boy asks Henry if “The Shadow” took him too. Henry tells him no but the runaway Lost Boy tells him if “The Shadow” wants him, he’ll get him. Henry insists that his family will save him. The, the runaway Lost Boy hears the other Lost Boys approaching and tells Henry they can hide in the Echo Caves.
Mulan asks Neal how he got to the Fairy Tale land and he says through a portal and mentions how where he came from they made a movie about her and people there think they are all just fairytales. Aurora then tells Neal that she couldn’t make contact with Henry. Neal then says that he needs to get to his father’s castle because he’ll have something there that could help him get back to Emma. Phillip asks Neal who his father is and he replies, “Rumplestiltskin.”
Tamara is still alive despite being shot in the back with an arrow. Gold finds her and heals her. She thanks him then apologizes to him for what happened to Neal. He asks her where Henry is and she tells him that he ran into the jungle away from the Lost Boys. She then asks him if he can forgive her. He coldly says no, reaches into her chest, pulls out her heart and crushes it, killing her.
Hook wants the mermaid off his ship but Regina thinks they now have a hostage and David agrees. Then, the mermaid blows into a conch shell and tells them that was a warning to let her go or they’ll all die.
Neal and Mulan are heading toward Rumplestiltskin’s castle. Mulan asks Neal why Emma never mentioned him to her. He says it was because he broke Emma’s heart. He explains that he left her so she could break the curse and fulfill her destiny. He adds that once she broke it, he could have gone to look for her but was afraid she wouldn’t forgive him. “That’s my biggest regret and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone,” he tells Mulan.
Henry and the runaway Lost Boy are still running when the other Lost Boys cut off their path to the Echo caves so Henry suggests going another way.
David asks the mermaid what she did by using the conch shell but Hook insists that she won’t tell him the truth because all mermaids are liars. Mary-Margaret thinks she’s just afraid of Pan but then the storm begins. The mermaid then says she brought the storm and it will kill them if they don’t let her go. David then puts a sword to the mermaid’s throat and demands she stop the storm but she refuses. Regina then eggs David on to “Filet the bi*ch” but he doesn’t. Hook then tries to turn the ship to avoid the storm. Regina wants to kill the mermaid but David says no. Regina then turns the mermaid to wood thinking that will stop the storm but it only makes it worse.
Neal and Mulan get to Rumplestiltskin’s abandoned castle. But, Robin Hood is there and confronts them. Neal can’t believe it’s really him. He draws his bow and asks why they are trespassing in his castle. Mulan says the castle belongs to “The Dark One” and he’s trespassing. Robin Hood replies that “The Dark One” hasn’t been seen since the Queen’s curse but he shows up he’ll leave. Neal tells him that he can have the castle and that he just needs to look around. Robin Hood then asks Neal who he is. He tells Robin Hood that he’s “The Dark One’s” son. Robin Hood then lowers his bow, extends his apologies and tells Neal he can look around all he wants. Robin Hood tells Neal that he and his father “crossed paths once,” that he spared his life and owes him a debt. Neal then tells Robin Hood that he’s looking for something his father left there, a magical item. Robin Hood says the place was cleaned out shortly after the curse. Neal then picks up a cane on the floor. He waves the cane around and a door magically appears. Neal, Mulan and Robin Hood all go to see what’s behind it.
Emma and Hook try to navigate the ship through the storm. Mary-Margaret yells at Regina for making the storm worse by turning the mermaid into wood. They bicker and Mary-Margaret slaps Regina. They start physically fighting, David wants to stop it but Hook says he needs him at the mast. Then, Hook and David start physically fighting as Emma tells them all to stop it. Emma sees that the lightning intensifies the more they fight so she screams that they have to all stop fighting or they’ll all die but they don’t listen. Emma then dives off the ship which makes Mary-Margaret and David panic!
Henry and the runaway Lost Boy run but end up at a cliff. The runaway Lost Boy says he’ll try to trade their lives with the pixie dust he has but Henry grabs the pixie dust and they both jump off the cliff. The pixie dust works and they fly as the other Lost Boys watch.
Mary-Margaret screams at Regina to get Emma out of the water but says she can’t see her. David ties ropes around himself and goes after Emma. David sees Emma and grabs her. Mary-Margaret, Regina and Hook pull David and Emma back onto the ship. Emma doesn’t look like she’s alive but then coughs up water. Mary-Margaret and David are relieved and so is Hook. The storm stops and the moon is visible.
Gold meets with the Lead Lost Boy. He says Pan welcomes him back to Neverland, that he can stay as long as he likes but if he’s her for Henry, he’s Pan’s enemy. “Then, nothing has changed,” Gold replies. The Lead Lost Boy then tells Gold that if goes against Pan, he’ll die. Gold says he knows he’ll die, “the only question is how many of you [the Lost Boys] I take with me.” The Lead Lost Boy then says he’ll see Gold again “in less friendly circumstances.” Then, the Lead Lost Boy gives Gold something he says Pan wanted him to have. He then throws a faceless white doll to the ground in front of Gold. He picks it up and starts to cry. Then, the Lead Lost Boy says, “Isn’t it funny? The things we haven’t thought about in years still have the ability to make us cry.” He chuckles and walks away as Gold sobs.
Neal opens the magical door and finds a closet with cobwebs and magical items. Neal says he spent his whole life running from magic, “now it’s the only thing that can help me.” He then sees a Snoglobe holds it and closes his eyes but nothing happens. Mulan tells him to think about how he feels about Emma. He does so and a cloud forms in the Snoglobe. Neal then sees Emma in the Snoglobe but sees she isn’t in Storybrooke…she’s in Neverland.
Emma, Regina, Hook, Mary-Margaret and David go ashore. Regina says her magic can fix Hook’s ship. Emma tells Regina to save her magic since Pan now knows they are there. Emma then says they need to believe in each other in order to survive…that they need to cooperate with each other. Emma adds they need all of their skills, a hero, a pirate and so on. Regina asks Emma what her “skill” is. Emma replies that she’s a mother and their leader. Mary-Margaret, David and Hook then follow Emma into the jungle then Regina.
Henry and the runaway Lost Boy land. Henry tells him that if he believes, anything is possible. The runaway Lost Boy then says Henry’s name and then Henry knows he lied to him because he never told him his name. The runaway Lost Boy then tells Henry that he’s Peter Pan. Henry then asks Pan why he brought him there. Pan then tells Henry that he seeks the “Heart of the Truest Believer.” Pan then says that Henry proved himself when he jumped off the cliff with the pixie dust. Pan then says that Henry is his and draws his sword. Pan then calls the rest of the Lost Boys out of hiding and they encircle Henry. Pan then screams, “Let’s Play!”
