Paul McCartney opened up recently about how he and Yoko Ono have reconciled after all these years.
In a cover story for Rolling Stone, the 71-year-old musician says that he and Ono are on better terms.
"I thought, 'If John loved her, there's got to be something. He's not stupid,'" the former Beatles singer said. "It's like, what are you going to do? Are you going to hold a grudge you never really had?"
According to NBC News, in 2001 he had said that he doesn't attend Lennon tributes because it would be "difficult" to be around Ono. Another reason he avoided her, Ono not letting the Anthology series read in the credits "'Yesterday' by Paul McCartney and John Lennon."
Though, RS notes, McCartney seems to be in a forgiving mood, he will never forgive Lennon's killer, Mark David Chapman. "I think I could pretty much forgive anyone else. But I don't see why I'd want to forgive him. This is a guy who did something so crazy and terminal. Why should I bless him with forgiveness?"
McCartney seems to be everywhere lately as he celebrates the release of New. He's been playing free concerts in public avenues, such as New York's Times Square and London's Covent Garden. McCartney's also appeared on late TV.
