After injuring his neck, Indianapolis Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw has a decision to make that may end his season.
Bradshaw injured his neck in the Colts' Week 3 win over the San Francisco 49ers. He sat out last week and will do the same this Sunday. Bradshaw's plan going forward is to take a few weeks off to decide whether or not he will have season ending surgery.
"Ahmad has obviously seen several specialists, collected a lot of information," Colts coach Chuck Pagano said Friday. "He's going to take the next couple of weeks to kind of sit back and decide where he's going to go with this thing. I don't know ultimately where that is. But in the end, it'll be up to Ahmad and the doctors to come to a final decision on what's going to transpire there. He'll be out at least a couple more weeks."
Bradshaw also injured his neck last season with the Giants.
According to ESPN since signing a one-year contract with the Colts Bradshaw leads the team in rushing with 186 yards on 41 carries.
SBnation.com reports that with Bradshaw out, Trent Richardson will be the starter and Donald Brown will be his backup.
