Quincy Jones feels that he is being cheated out of money from Michael Jackson Productions and Sony Music Entertainment. He claims that he is owed millions of dollars in royalties and production fees.
According to TMZ, Jones claims that he is still owed money from some of Michael's best selling albums which include, "Off the Wall,""Thriller," and "Bad because he produced all of those albums.
Jones also claims that Sony and Michael Jackson Productions came up with a scam by remixing and editing the songs so they can be included in the "This is it" movie, which shows the final days of Michael Jackson while he was preparing for his final world tour. The remixed music was also featured on the Michael Jackson Cirque de Soleil show and the 25th anniversary of the Bad album.
Jones believes that he is owed at least $10 million, from the estate and Sony.
Michael Jackson Production lawyer, Howard Weitzman told TMZ, "The Estate of Michael Jackson was saddened to learn that Quincy Jones has filed a lawsuit seeking money from Michael's Estate. To the best of our knowledge, Mr. Jones has been appropriately compensated over approximately 35 years for his work with Michael."
