St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is done for the season after tearing the ACL in his left knee in Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. He will have surgery in a couple of weeks.
Bradford was running toward the sideline on a second-down play when he suffered the injury. Panther’s safety Mike Mitchell pushed Bradford before he was out of bounds, and Bradford landed on his knee. The injury happened late in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game. Bradford was 21 of 30 for 255 yards with a touchdown and a interception when he was injured, according to ESPN. Rams coach Jeff Fisher talked with Bradford after the game.
"I'm not going to deal with hypothetical’s right now until I find out what really is going on with him," Fisher told ESPN. "It makes no sense to rush to a conclusion until we know. We'll get a medical, and then we'll go from there. He was in significant pain on the sideline."
Bradford has a 93.1 passer rating, according to The Sports Xchange. Backup quarterback Kellen Clemens is expected to fill in for Bradford, since there aren’t any other quarterbacks on the roster or practice squad. Clemens went two for four with 19 years after replacing Bradford on Sunday.
