Levante defended Real Madrid well and forced los Blancos to shoot off target. In the 85th minute, El Zhar scored and put Levante ahead 2-1. With only little time remaining, los Blancos were determined to fight back. Real Madrid had a series of nice passes and, in the 90th minute, Morata was able to find a small space and take a shot and score for the Real Madrid side. With only stoppage time left, Real Madrid had a new energy and determination. In the 94th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo was able to finish and win the game for Real Madrid.
According to Goal.com, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, stated, “When Real Madrid plays well, we can win a match in five minutes. The players made a huge sacrifice and never surrendered.”
ESPN FC reported that the 3-2 victory over Levante put Real Madrid back in third place, with Barcelona and Atletico in the number one and two spots.
