Earlier this week on October 1st, Russell Crowe revealed that he's a big fan of Staffordshire pottery teacups. The 49 year old Gladiator star reached out to followers on Twitter (all 1.2 million of them) to find a Gladstone mug made in 1953 to mark the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

Nerys Williams, who works at the Gladstone Pottery Museum in Stoke, England, replied to the tweet and was surprised and delighted when Crowe wrote back. "It was very exciting to go on Twitter and see that Russell Crowe was talking about Gladstone pottery. I tweeted to him and I did not expect him to reply. It was lovely to receive a reply back from him," Williams told The Stoke Sentinel, "It's also fascinating to see how far and wide the pottery we make here goes."

According to The Mirror, Williams invited Crowe to visit the museum.

So Russel Crowe is into pottery associated with British royalty. Who knew?
