In a new interview, Sandra Bullock opened up about having some of the same struggled women everywhere have. She revealed she juggled with her self worth and her fear of failure.
The Oscar winner admits looking back on feelings of depression, she should’ve let go of trying to be a “superwoman.”
She told Garth Pearce in Express, “I was afraid of being a failure, of not having the best time or of being chicken. But every year I get older I think, 'What was I fearing last year?' You forget. And then you move on.”
She admitted to feeling “depressed” and watching “a lot of reruns on TV to get over it.”
In retrospect, the Gravity star admits she should’ve “allowed myself to be a little more human and not worry about trying to be a superwoman. On some days I woke up thinking I was garbage. On others that I was a great person. If a therapist had got hold of me they would have had a field day.”
Huffington Post reports Bullock often thinks back on the days of struggling as an actress in her twenties to keep herself grounded.
Bullock, who is now divorced from Jesse James, who admitted to cheating on her with various women, also admitted she was raised to be independent.
“My mother raised me not to depend on a man for anything," she said. “I may have taken that to extremes."
