Comedian Sarah Silverman has posted a failed NBC pilot on JASH, a YouTube channel that she and several other comedians run. Silverman said that 20th Century Fox, which produced the pilot, titled Susan 313, gave her permission to post it.
The former Sarah Silverman Program star gave her fans a short message at the beginning, noting that she was surprised Fox even allowed her to do this. Still, she admits that viewers will not be shocked that the network didn’t pick it up. “They probably did the right thing, but we liked the show,” she said.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pilot was loosely based on Silverman’s life and centered on a woman adjusting to single life. Dan Sterling wrote the pilot and Ken Kwapis directed. Tig Notaro, Jeff Goldblum, Harris Wittels and June Diane Raphael also starred.
Indiewire does note that Ron Howard was a producer on the show.
While this pilot didn’t get picked up last year, Silverman is currently working on another pilot, HBO’s People in New Jersey.
