Sinéad O'Connor is on a new war path and is slamming music mogul Simon Cowell.
According to TMZ, the Irish singer recently appeared on the Late Late Show in Ireland and bashed Cowell and British X Factor judge Louis Walsh for their part in killing music.
“I feel sorry for the murder of music and rock ‘n' roll,” she said. “Which has happened because of the industry, because of Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh. It all amounts to the murder of music.”
She continues, “There’s a certain alarm that needs to be rung and I know there are a lot of musicians around the country and around the world that will agree. The power of rock 'n' roll to change things, to move people, is being murdered by all this worship of fame, Pop Idol, X Factor all this stuff.”
E! Online reports that the “Nothing Compares” singer also continued to rant about over-sexualizing artists and young singers like Miley Cyrus.
"What I'm worried about is it's all about the visual, the pyrotechnics, the tit's out...shake your ass. It's not about the song. That to me is quite sad,” she said. "I was asked by my record company to start wearing short skirts and growing my hair, and try to act really sexy and that's why I shaved my hair. I wanted to be judged by my talent, if any, and not by how I looked."
O’Connor recently penned an open letter to Miley to warn her of the music industry and how her behavior will ultimately lead to her demise.
