The Sons are still sorting through the wreckage of the clubhouse. They grab everything that's still whole and load it up into a truck. The Sons head into town and start unloading everything into Scoops & Sweets, their new temporary home, a building owned by Mayor Hale.

Hale tells Jax that the town is a little uneasy following the explosion, and that when he likely loses the re-election in three months, Jax and the MC will need to already have bought some favors with other members of the town council. The Charming Heights development, and the maintenance contracts for Teller-Morrow, are on hold as well, thanks in part to the murder of Damon Pope.

Patterson meets with Nero and Nero's lawyer. Patterson, still in "hood" mode, tries to get Nero into a talking mood by making fun of his business and his criminal background. All she wants is the supplier of the gun that was used in the shooting, to which she mentions Jax by name, and she'll let him walk. Patterson also brings up Nero's son, and Nero almost jumps across the table. Patteson gives him 24 hours to think about the deal.

The Sons set up their new "clubhouse" above the ice cream shop. Jax tells the club that the peace with the Irish seems real, and that they're going to send Connor back later that day. Time to patch in the transfers, and all go through unanimously. After the congratulations are done, Jax motions to make Rat Boy a full patch as well, and it's another unanimous "yay." Tig goes and calls for Rat to come up. When he enters, everyone is acting very serious. Jax tells Rat to sit down at the table, take off his kutte, and cut off the prospect patch that's on the back. As he's getting he knife under the stitching, Chibbs tells him to replace that with the reaper patch. Everyone's very happy for Rat.

August Marks meets with Jax and the Sons at the warehouse. Jax fills August in on the peace deal he made with the Irish, and that he's working on something to get August back into guns, but he can't get into the details. August sees a bloodied and bound Connor walk out of the warehouse. Jax explains why he's there. August tells Jax that he's learning, and Bobby certainly agrees. As August leaves, Jax tells Connor to give Galen a message. The Sons are going to allow Clay to run distribution, but if it falls through, August will be there willing to pick it up.

Gemma goes to see Nero in jail. Nero's lawyer is advising him to take Patterson's deal. Gemma tells Nero about Venus stopping by Diosa, and Nero's mood immediately lightens. Gemma then tells Nero that Venus stopped by because her nephew has been remanded to Venus's mother, Alice, after the boy's mother died. Nero tells Gemma to get Jax's help to get that boy away from Alice.

Roosevelt meets with Patterson, again making the case against her pressing Nero so hard. He knows Nero's innocent, that the evidence was planted. Patterson is trying to get him to take the deal before the DNA from Toric's room comes back. Eli then tells Patterson about running into Barosky outside Collette's house in Stockton. Patterson knows Barosky as the slimiest of slimy cops. They both head up to Stockton to see what his connection is to either the MC or Nero's gang.

The Sons get back to the ice cream shop to see Venus waiting inside. Gemma tells Jax to hear her out, due to Nero considering Venus family. Venus starts to tell the club about abuse she was put through as a child (before the sex change), including being forced into child pornography at the age of 10. Venus tried to talk to her mother the day before, but Alice's current husband clocked Venus in the eye. Venus is willing to send Joey back to Seattle to stay with friends until he's 18. Venus just needs to get him out of Alice's house. Jax agrees to help.

Tara meets with Lowen at the hospital. Tara has prepared something that would legally prevent Gemma from being around her boys. Lowen tells Tara that something like this doesn't mean anything if both parent's signatures aren't on the paper. Tara assures Lowen that Jax will sign it. Unser walks in as Lowen is leaving. She asks if he still has his friend in the Lodi city clerk's office. Tara needs to get a restraining order.

Roosevelt and Patterson visit Barosky at the bakery. Patterson brings up the escort license that Jax and Nero applied for at the Stockton house, then tells Barosky to get some dirt on the two of them, or else she'll spend every resource she has to severely mess with Barosky's retirement funds.

Jax, Tib, Bobby and Chibbs ride with Venus to Alice's house. Jax tells Gemma to wait by the car. They all walk in and see Joey watching TV, drinking a beer. He's 15. Alice calls Venus "Vincent," as well as a mutation. Venus tries to convince Joey to come with her, but Alice steps in by grabbing Venus's midsection, which clearly there's still something there. Venus kicks Alice to the ground. Alice's husband grabs a shotgun and tries to cut Venus in half. Jax tackles her to safety. Bobby and Chibbs subdue the other men that were in the house, but during the fight, Alice grabs Joey and drives off. As the guys run out of the house to go after Alice and Joey, Alice's husband yells after Venus, "You ain't never getting your son back you lady-by freak!"

In pursuit of Alice, Venus explains that Joey's mother, Lula, was Venus's best friend, and when they were 21 and Venus was still discovering her womanhood, they both got drunk and Joey was the result. Venus didn't want to confuse Joey by telling him that Aunt Venus is actually his father.

Still in pursuit of Alice, two of the men from the house come up behind Jax's SUV and ram the back. Venus grabs a gun and starts shooting. The car stops, but then gets away, as does Alice. Jax is furious with Venus. The license plate fell off the car that Venus shot, so Jax calls up Barosky to see if he can help with running it.

At the hospital, Margaret tells Tara that it's time. This is clearly something Tara isn't looking forward to doing, but it seems to be necessary in the end game. Margaret then tells Wendy that it't time for "that meeting." Unser gives Tara the restraining order she asked for, but Tara still won't fill in all the details just yet.

Barosky meets up with Jax and the guys outside of the address they got off the plate of the car Venus shot up. It's the child pornography studio that Alice and her husband are running. Chibbs, Tig, Jax and Barosky bust in, and find only Joey inside, though he is drugged and passed out. Jax and the guys see shadows approaching from outside, and Alice and her husband walk in. Venus grabs a gun and hold her mother at gunpoint, while the Sons run the other thugs off.

Alice begins to throw insult after insult Venus's way. Alice tells Venus that Joey will hate her after he finds out the truth about Venus. Alice claims that after Joey learns the truth about Venus, Joey will want to kill himself from the shame. Venus is completely distraught, and Jax isn't taking this that well either. Jax takes matters into his own hands and shoots Alice in the head. Shortly after the killing, Jax and Barosky stumble upon a video that Alice produced, and they both agree that what they did was the right thing to do. Jax tells Venus that she should tell Joey the truth, but Venus isn't quite rear to drop that bomb just yet.

Bobby brings Gemma back to the garage. Wendy is waiting there for Gemma. Wendy tells Gemma that Tara picked Margaret as the guardian for the boys should anything happen to Tara, which is news that Gemma doesn't take likely, as well as Tara's plans to divorce Jax to keep the boys away from the club. Gemma rushes over to the hospital. She finds Tara and Margaret in the cafeteria and starts causing problems immediately. Tara walk off, telling Gemma that they're not doing this at the hospital. Margaret gets up to follow Tara, but Gemma chokes her out and throws her against the vending machine. Unser steps in and pulls Gemma off.

Tara runs up to her office. She puts a bag of blood she had drawn earlier into her pants, and just as she finishes, Gemma busts in. They both start yelling at each other. It's the same conversation that they've been having: Tara won't allow her boys to be raised in Charming and fall into the same terrible life as their father, and Tara also doesn't want them to know their pyscho grandmother. Gemma slaps Tara across the face, then Tara retaliates with a slap right back. Tara prepares herself for a punch, but Gemma stops herself, telling Tara that if she wasn't pregnant, Gemma would clock the hell out of her. Tara, taking matters into her own hands, screams, then throws herself onto her desk, popping the bag of blood she placed in her undergarments.

Unser, Margaret and Wendy all rush into the office. Gemma can't believe what's going on. Wendy can't believe that she was a part of this at all.

Margaret calls for security, backing up the fake story that Gemma attacked Tara. Gemma is taken away, in cuffs. Tara won't allow anyone to help her until Jax gets there.

Jax tries his best to comfort Tara in the hospital. "I lost out baby girl," Tara tells her husband. Tara also tells Jax that she can't be around Gemma anymore, that she had kicked her in the stomach, knowing she was pregnant. Tara claims that Gemma thought all Tara was trying to do was take the boys away from her, and resorted to violence to make sure it didn't happen. Tara doesn't want Gemma near their children anymore, and makes Jax promise that he'll do it. Lowen enters, and gives Jax the restraining order to sign to keep Gemma away from his boys.

Roosevelt goes to leave the station, stopping to look at a locked up Gemma for a moment, then he continues. Gemma sits in lock-up, still stunned from what just happened, as well as realizing she was just beat at her own game.
