Dean tells Sam about how Cas is now human and they discuss the fallen angels now running loose on Earth. They also wonder what to do about Crowley? Sam asks if Crowley is dead. Dean tells him he thought “what would Sam Winchester do?” to which Sam says he “would of stabbed him in the brain.” Dean then reveals Crowley is locked in the trunk.

A mystery man is revealed performing some kind of ritual. It is revealed he is a demon by his black eyes and the ritual he performs resurrects Abaddon, the demon from last season that killed Sam and Dean’s grandfather.

Dean and Sam return to the Men of Letters bunker where Kevin has been hiding, Dean tells Kevin about the fallen angels. They bring Crowley into the bunker and interrogate him about other demons and where they are. They threaten to torture Crowley for information but he is unimpressed so the two then leave Crowley locked alone in the room. The Winchesters ask Kevin to check the angel tablet to see if there’s a way to reverse what Metatron did.

Abaddon meets with some demons to rally them against Crowley to take over Hell. She tells them that they need new bodies, that the ones they have are useless. The scene then changes to a Naval Base where the demons exchange their bodies for those of the Naval Officers.

A woman is stuck on the side of the road, when a guy, who turns out to be a vampire offers her a lift into town. She accepts and gets in the truck with him and it turns out she is a hunter and she kills him. Demons show up when she leaves the truck and kidnap her.

Dean and Sam go to check out the Naval Base scene and get stopped by an officer who wants to speak to their supervisor. They get Kevin on the phone who talks her into letting them check out the scene. They discover the bodies on the bus are years old and died from fatal wounds. Footage from security camera shows Abaddon leaving the scene.

Demons are finding hunters and interrogating them to find the Winchesters. Abaddon gets one of Dean’s phone numbers from a hunter and gives Kevin coordinates for where the Winchesters need to meet her.

Crowley is locked in the Men of Letters bunker thinking of the scenes from last season’s finale. Kevin enters the room looking for info on the Knights of Hell and he asks Crowley how to kill Abaddon. Crowley gets under Kevin’s skin and he begins to hit Crowley across the face.

Dean and Sam find the two hunters, Irv and Tracy, who were kidnapped and they prepare to fight the demons that have teamed up with Abaddon. The four split into two teams, Dean and Tracy go one way, and Irv and Sam go in the other direction.

After Kevin has finished taking out his frustration on Crowley, Crowley promises to return Kevin’s mother in return for his freedom. Crowley tries to trick Kevin by telling him the Winchesters don’t care about Kevin or his mother, and will toss his aside as soon as they don’t need him anymore.
Irv tells Sam to take Dean and Tracy and to hightail it out of there and he’ll hold off the demons. Sam is talking him out of the plan when Irv gets shot by one of the demons. Dean and Tracy get ambushed by Abaddon. Tracy runs to get more ammo to fight the demons, leaving Dean and Abaddon alone. Abaddon threatens to remove Dean’s anti-possession tattoo and possess Dean if he does not give up Crowley’s location.

Sam is fighting multiple demons and loosing when Ezekiel takes over his body and wipes them out. Abaddon is frightened at the prospect of the angel and disappears. When Dean finds Ezekiel, he says Sam is unconscious and he had to take over to save him. Dean wants Ezekiel to confirm he is a good guy, which he says he is and also tells Dean he is doing the right thing by not telling Sam about him Ezekiel being inside of him.

Sam finally wakes and Dean lies and tells him he came in and took out the demons. Tracy comes back with the car and they all leave.

The Winchesters arrive back at the bunker and can’t find Kevin so they run to the room where they were holding Crowley and find him still there. Crowley starts giving them names of demons and hopes to strike some kind of deal with the Winchesters in exchange for more. Dean goes to find Kevin who is leaving because he wants to find his mom. Dean tries to talk him out of it because it’s too dangerous for him out there. Kevin claims Dean just wants him to stay because he’s useful which Dean denies telling Kevin he is family and convinces him to stay. Sam asks Dean if he’s ready for everything; the falling angels, the demons, Abaddon and Crowley to which Dean says he is. When Dean redirects the question back to Sam he says he’s actually happy with where his life is for the first time and that “things are good.”
