Susan Sarandon and her daughter Eva are set to create and star in a new comedy sitcom on NBC.

According to the Wrap, Susan Sarandon has signed onto a comedy show by NBC called Growing Ivy. Sarandon’s daughter Eva Amurri Martino thought of the idea for the show, where she will co-write with Will McCormack and be a co-executive producer with Rashida Jones.

The plot line follows Martino’s character, Ivy Davis, who has a type-A personality, but is struggling in her personal life. To help balance her life, Ivy asks her eccentric mother (Sarandon) to move in with her.

The Inquistr reports NBC has been struggling to find a strong show lineup after the finales of 30 Rock and The Office. The network already canceled freshman show Welcome to the Family and replaced it with Parks and Recreation. Also in the works is a comedy about a single mother, produced by Meg Ryan.

Sarandon has guest starred in several shows including recent appearances on Showtime’s The Big C and is set to guest star on CBS' Mike and Molly.
