Former Grey’s Anatomy star T.R. Knight got married to his longtime boyfriend Patrick on Friday. The two exchanged vows in front of a small group of family and friends.
Knight’s former co-star, Katherine Heigl, was reportedly among the wedding attendees. She flew in especially for the joyous occasion, sources say.
"It [was] very small and quiet," a source told Us Weekly.
Knight, best known for playing George O’Malley on Grey’s from its premiere in 2005 to 2009, is currently in an off-Broadway production of William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet playing Mercutio. Some famous co-stars in the play include Elizabeth Olson and William Hurt.
"[The] cast wishes they could go too, but they all congratulated him," a source said of the Classic Stage Company's cast.
Meanwhile, another one of Knight’s Grey’s co-stars, Ellen Pompeo, recently opened up about the behind-the-scenes drama revolving around Heigl and Isaiah Washington.
She explained, “Hurt feelings, combined with instant success and huge paychecks started things spinning out of control.”
