Since Mike has returned to work, Annie and Mike have begun to feel they are overwhelmed and neglecting their children. Mike notes that Graham is playing a lot of video games and wants to try to get him to do other activities. Annie and Mike decide they need to find a new after school activity for Graham. Annie wants Graham to take up pottery, while Mike wants him to take up hockey. Both secretly sign Graham up for their respective activities and eventually agree to let him try both and see which he prefers.
While at work, Harris hires Mike’s old producer Suzie Rodriguez Jones, who Mike claims left him stranded in the everglades to cover one of his stories. She pretends to be kind and appreciative of Mike and all of the help he has given her career. She says that she saved him from the swamp, but admits privately to him that she left him there on purpose.
At school Eve is having trouble with a mean girl who has started a twitter war with her. Leigh and Ian get involved by tweeting at the mean girl when Leigh and Eve accidently switch phones. Leigh has been having writers block and begins taking her frustration through the twitter insults. Leigh and Ian think that by getting back and Lisa Mitchel on twitter, they can make her stop bothering Eve, but the girl comes after Eve at school.
Annie begins to realize that Graham doesn’t like pottery and that she is the one doing the work in the class while Graham plays video games. Annie decides he must truly like hockey, since Mike has said how much he loves it, and goes to his practice to support him. When she gets there Annie realizes that Graham is not playing hockey and instead is playing video games while Mike and the other fathers play hockey. Mike and Annie agree to let their children do their own thing, rather than trying to live vicariously through their children.
