The New York Giants get a much needed win over the Eagles

The Giants started the season 0-6, but after a win over division rival Eagles on Sunday and a Cowboys loss, they're right in the mix of the fight for a playoff spot in the NFC East.

The score was 15-7 in favor of the Giants over the Eagles, as Josh Brown kicked a career high five field goals for New York. The Giants go to 2-6, which is still not great but has the Giants motivated.

"We still believe," quarterback Eli Manning said. "These last two weeks we've played our best football, together as a team, both sides, helping each other out, relying on each other. We've got to continue to build off that."

Although the Giants didn't score a touchdown, Manning did not have a turnover for two games in a row now according toNew York Times.

For the Eagles, Michael Vick made his return from a hamstring injury, but was replaced by rookie Matt Barkley after feeling a "pop" in his hamstring. ESPN reports that he will get an MRI on Monday.

“We’re humble,” Giants defensive end Justin Tuck said. “There’s obviously still a long way to go.”
