Tonight on NBC the blind auditions continued. The coaches’ teams have gaining some incredible talent but tonight’s blind auditions did not disappoint.
First up to the Voice stage was Ray Boudreaux , a single father. Boudreaux performed a jazz and soulful version of “Use Me.” Shelton was the first coach to turn his chair around, halfway through the performance coach Cee Lo Green turned his chair around to join in the fight for Boudreaux. Levine described Boudreaux as a more handsome Blake with a Cee Lo vocal style. In the end, Boudreaux became the next member of Team Blake.
Lina Gaudenzi followed Boudreaux and performed, “Landslide.” After the first verse Aguilera turned her chair around. At the last possible moment, Shelton turned around. After much discussion Gaudenzi joined Team Christina.
The next up to the Voice stage was Juhi, who held above a 4.0 in school and is only sixteen. Juhi performed “Mercy.” Aguliera and Green both turned their chairs around. Juhi became the next member of Team Cee Lo.
54 year old, Malford Milligan, took the stage next. Milligan performed a soulful rendition of “Let’s Stay Together.” Even with a powerful performance, none of the judges turned their chairs around. Shelton encouraged Milligan to keep working on his music and make an album.
Justin Blake, a twenty year old and future father followed Milligan. Blake performed “Sure Be Cool If You Did,” by coach Blake Shelton. Levine turned his chair around the risky performance. Levine was the only coach to turn his chair around so Blake automatically joins Team Adam.
Following Blake was the youngest artist in the competition, at only fifteen years old, Timyra-Joi. Joi performed “Girl On Fire.” Aguilera turned her chair around first for Joi, followed by Cee Lo. At the last moment, Shelton turned his chair around and joined in the fight for Joi. In the end, Joi joined Team Christina.
Next up to Voice stage was Monika Leigh who sang, “The Thrill Is Gone.” Both Green and Levine turned their chairs around for Leigh; closely followed Shelton. In the end, Leigh became the next member of Team Blake.
Following Leigh was Zach Hinson who took on a Luke Bryan classic “Drunk On You.” Even with a passionate performance, Hinson failed to get any other four judges to turn around.
Next up to the Voice stage was Kaley Cuoco’s little sitter, Briana. Cuoco performed “You and I,” original performed by Lady Gaga. When Cuoco hit the chours Aguilera turned around. At the last possible moment, with only seconds left Green also pushed his button. After much deliberation, Cuoco chose to become a member of Aguilera.
The final artist of the night was Preston Pohl. Pohl was a former member of a very popular Christina rock band. Pohl performed, “Electric Feel.” Within the first few moments Shelton, Levine and Green had turned around. Green, Shelton and Levine were left to fight amongst themselves. In the end, Pohl joined Team Adam.
The blind auditions continue tomorrow night on NBC.
