Tom Hanks joins the list of celebrities - including President Barack Obama - who have gone online and done an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on the website Reddit.
The actor announced in a tweet that he was doing the AMA as "an act of greedy self promotion, USA Today reports.
He also added a photo and the caption, "Will be Reddit-ing about these guys: Faisal, Mahat, Barkhad, and Paul." They are his co-stars in the upcoming Captain Phillips.
According to E! News, the actor spent the time cracking jokes and talking about his previous films.
Hanks said he would "Floss more often," if he "could go back in time to send one message to yourself at age 30."
First Showing gathered up other humorous responses Hank made to questions, including the one to "Which would you rather see become a ride at a theme park: The Polar Express of Forrest Gump?"
"The Captain Phillips Life-Boat Launch Experience," he responded.
He did offer a serious answer to a question about whether he "ever get[s] emotional" about a previous performance. He simply said, "When LT. Dan introduced Forrest to his wife, with his titanium legs, I burst into tears..."
Captain Phillips is out in theaters Oct. 11.
