Next year’s Tony Awards ceremony will take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
CBS, which is airing the awards again, said that the 68th annual Tony Awards will take place on Sunday, June 8, 2014, beginning at 8 p.m. The Tony Awards were first handed out on April 6, 1947. The 2014 ceremony will be produced by Tony Award Productions, which is run by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
The Tony Awards returned to Radio City Music Hall in 2013 after a two-year absence. Before that, the ceremony was held at the Beacon Theatre.
CBS will be the home of the Tonys for the next several years. In May, the network secured broadcasting rights to the show through 2018. CBS has had Neil Patrick Harris, one of the stars of How I Met Your Mother, as its go-to host for the ceremony. He hosted for the fourth time in 2013.
Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss of White Cherry Entertainment will be the executive producers for the 15th straight year.
Tony nominations will be announced on Tuesday, April 29.
